Lesson 2: 4.1: Support and Resistance Zones vs. Single Lines
Learn how to establish horizontal key levels, zones of high liquidity, and the psychology behind them.
1. The Psychology of Support and Resistance
S&R levels exist because human memory clusters around specific prices. Support is a price area where buy demand overcomes selling pressure, preventing further declines. Resistance is an area where sell supply overcomes buying interest, capping advances.
S&R should be treated as 'zones' rather than single-digit lines, as orders are distributed across clusters of price levels.
★ Core Behavior: When a resistance zone is broken, it often flips to a support zone on subsequent retests (role reversal).
