Our read: Mixed (Pullback)

The reading is mixed after a pullback. Price is below its 21 and 50 EMAs but still above its 100 EMA and about 9% above its 200-day EMA (near $304), RSI is 41.7 (weak, not oversold) and the chart's MACD line is below its signal line. The quarter itself was strong, with sales up 12%, EPS up 14% and a record iPhone quarter, but the December-quarter gross margin guide of 45% to 46% and higher memory costs weighed on the shares. Forty-three analysts rate the stock a Buy, though the average target of about $333 sits close to the price, and the trailing P/E is high at about 37. The Options Swing Helper shows option premium as cheap (HV Rank 27.25%). The levels to watch are today's low near $325.33 and the 100 EMA near $322.79 on the downside, and the 50 EMA near $334.27 and the 21 EMA near $340.75 on the upside.
